A person might feel bad for Eric as a goalie and Kevin as a Coach/Dad IF they hadn't had a part in the decision for Eric to play for the Stampede. One
might know if you have your kid playing for you, there would be controversy. One might also know that some of that controversy would not be there - had you
not had a hand in causing it. Eric's quote "everytime i'm in the lineup, there's some kind of controversy" - - - DUH! Ya think? !!
Even if Eric is not mature enough to realize whats causing the controversy, the coach/dad should know. He knew going into the situation that it would be tough
- - his thoughts should have been "is Eric tough enough to handle it" and "what will it do to the rest of the team?" We all know, whether
anyone will admit it or not, that having Eric's dad the coach does affect the rest of the team. The way the season went is proof enough. Its unfortunate
for the Eric, Kevin, the team and the fans. Seems a little late to be whining about it now. He'd just better go out tonight and prove all of us wrong - -
play like a team player, keep his head in the game, and bring us home a win.

Re: Matt Zimmer's article in todays Angus Liar.
It was evidently written and aimed at those people who know nothing about the game of hockey and/or never been to a Stampede game this year. It was just too full of warm fuzzy touchy feely words to fool those fans who have been in attendance at every home game and some road games and see the coach /son relationship a whole lot differently and for what it really is.
